It isn\’t easy being an AUS White “progressive” liberal these days – i.e. Absolutely, Unconditionally Sympathetic to the premise that your skin color defines you as racist/privileged and you therefore have to accept whatever indignities are tossed your way by Black people from the sharpton/jackson/Farrakhan (SJF) school of “It isn\’t racism if we\’re the ones doing it”.
Here\’s a case in point, excerpted from Christopher White\’s article at thecollegefix.com (See? Even his name must mean he\’s racist):
Columbia,MO. – Organizers of a recent Ferguson protest at the University ofMissouri requested “only people of color” take part in theevent\’s “die-in,” one element of a largerdemonstration that prompted at least two classes to be shelvedso students could participate.
“Duringthe demonstration we will hold a \’die-in\’ in the student center.We are asking that only people of color be the ones to do so,” event organizers stated in an email obtained by TheCollege Fix.“We are asking non-people of color to stand holding hands insolidarity.”
Tuesdayafternoon\’s rally attracted hundreds of students and faculty andlasted more than 90 minutes as participants vented frustration overthe decision by a grand jury to not indict Police Officer DarrenWilson for the shooting death of Michael Brown.
Organizersasked the campus community to leave “classrooms and offices withtheir hands up and meet us in the Student Center at 12:00pm tomove in solidarity and inform this campus and our community that wewill not tolerate injustice against black and brown lives,”according to organizers\’ email.
Duringthe protest, organized by representatives from theLegion of Black Collegians, MU NAACP, and MU4MikeBorwn,participants chanted slogans such as “Black lives matter!” and”No racist police. No justice! No Peace!” and read the names ofblack people who have been killed in acts of violence by police andcivilians.
SeniorNaomi Daugherty, student leader for MU4MikeBrown, gave a speech thatincluded a “white privilege checklist,” citing examples ofinstances where whites received advantages not afforded to blackpeople.
“Ifyou aren\’t afraid to bring children into this world because theymight be killed for being black, you have white privilege,” shesaid, accordingto the Missourian.
Lovely. What a wonderful message. If you\’re White you have it all, if you\’re Black you are one step away from being murdered by a White cop.
FYI: there are 43 million Black people in the USA and, in 2012, a total of 123 were killed by police….almost all of them for crime-related reasons that even SJF Blacks and AUS Whites could not dispute.
By contrast, in an average day – not week or month, folks, but day – about 19 Black people are murdered, and, on average, 18 are murdered by other Blacks. Multiply that out to a year and you have about 6450 Black people killed by other Blacks.
Don\’t hold your breath waiting for any “die-ins” on that statistic. Certainly not from the SJF Blacks, and certainly not from their AUS supporters/facilitators.
See, the death of Black people doesn\’t mean much to this bunch, unless it can be exploited racially. Then it means everything.
Or, put another way, they are committed to racism in the name of racism.
Do they really think it furthers the cause of tolerance and racial harmony to institutionalize their own intolerance and racism? Evidently they do.
I pity them.
