The Robert Frances “Beto” O’Rourke presidential candidacy is over.
In Mr. O’Rourke’s words:
“It is clear to me now that this campaign does not have the means to move forward successfully.”
I take that to mean he does not have the financial resources to continue.
I wonder if he realizes that the reason his campaign was not adequately funded just might be that potential campaign funders do not like his campaign…
…which just might be why, in a matter of months, he went from being the fair-haired boy of the party to someone sitting at 1% to 3% support in the polls.
Well, there’s always the professional skateboarding circuit.
Next up (or should I say down)? Kamala Harris – another former media favorite – who has laid off most of her staff in New Hampshire and seems ready to drop out as well.
The herd is thinning.
But don’t be surprised if it thickens again, by at least one.
