ARE DEMOCRATS REALLY ABOUT TO START THE IMPEACHMENT PROCESS?

Is this really true?

Are Democrats really going to spend the next two years in a ridiculous, hapless, hopeless attempt to impeach President Trump for colluding with Russia and obstructing justice…

…when robert Mueller and his all-Democrat Star Chamber of an investigation, just told  us they couldn’t find any collusion and there was insufficient evidence for even one charge of obstruction?

Yep, it appears they are.

Excerpted from ‏Alex Pappas’ article for foxnews.com:

While House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is urging caution and patience in response to those in her party clamoring for impeachment proceedings against President Trump, her top deputies are signaling it’s only a matter of time before they begin.

South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn, the third-highest-ranking Democrat in the House, said in an interview Sunday that he believes impeachment proceedings ultimately will be launched against Trump at some point in the future. He suggested Democrats are already laying the groundwork in Congress.

“I think we’ve already begun,” Clyburn said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”  “We’ve got all of these committees doing their work, we’re having hearings.”

Amazing.  And appalling for anyone who understands how impeachment works.

Forgetting, for a moment, that they have absolutely nothing to impeach him on, the way this works is that the House of Representatives votes on whether or not to impeach. Then, if a majority votes in favor (no guarantee it will happen; not even with a Democrat majority), it goes to the United States Senate, where a 2/3 majority – at least 67 Senators – is necessary to convict and remove the president from office.

Currently the Senate is comprised of 47 Democrats and 53 Republicans.   Therefore, if every Democrat voted to convict (also not a guarantee), they would need 20 Republican senators to join in the fun. Anybody want take bets on that happening?

And this, of course, is before we talk about the fact that, as noted earlier, there are no charges to be brought against President Trump.

The mueller report cleared him of collusion and established there was insufficient evidence to pursue obstruction. So what would the impeachment be about, other than the fact that they hate Trump?

Have these alleged public servants, whose job description, the last time I checked, was to represent their constituents, ever considered doing a damn thing that would benefit those constituents?

Or have they decided that their sole duty is a Captain Ahabesque quest to take down the Great White Donald?

Well, if the above article is true, and those quotes are accurate, I guess we have our answer.

What a pathetic joke this is.

  • I hope they do it just so we can see if Trump is right that the Supreme Court would rule it unConstitutional. Dershowitz wrote an interesting article about the subject.

  • “Impeach him! Impeach him!

Why, what evil has he done?

But they cried all the louder, “Impeach him! Impeach him!”

  • Mein Kampf :
talks about the use of a lie so “colossal”
that no one would believe that someone
“could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously”.

Joseph Goebbels said the same thing:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.

The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie.
It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent,
for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
