THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from Ms. Elizabeth Parker, a pro-life advocate who works for an organization called Students For Life.

Ms. Parker traveled from her home town of Nashville to Jackson, Mississippi – at her own expense – to be interviewed by Kamau Bell, of CNN’s “United Shades Of America”, for a segment on the abortion issue.

But that interview never aired.  I’ll let Ms. Parker tell you what happened:

“I’m very disappointed at the dishonesty exhibited by the people who asked me to take time out of my schedule to do this project.  They said that the goal of the episode was to take a look at both sides of the abortion debate. I went, gave them my time, and got cut for my trouble – as did the rest of the pro-life invitees. Clearly, they only wanted to portray abortion positively.”

Elizabeth Parker’s experience leads to a basic question:  what is the function of a cable news network?

Off the top of my head, I’d assume it is to provide news.  And news is neutral, not slanted.  Right?

Does this suggest that CNN intended to provide anything but it’s pro-abortion position on the issue…and to intentionally waste the time of Ms. Parker and every other pro-life supporter whose interviews were tossed out?

I award Elizabeth Parker Quote Of The Day honors for being as even-tempered as she seems to be about this insulting, costly (in both money and time) kiss-off.  I know I wouldn’t.

And Quote Of The Day Dishonors to CNN, for proving again that it is about as interested in presenting both sides of the story as ilhan omar is in”peace between Israel and Palestinian Arabs” that results in Israel still existing.

  • “They said that the goal of the episode was to take a look at both sides of the abortion debate.”

It isn’t should they be illegal or not, for liberals both sides of this debate means all abortions are legal and who should pay for them.
I feel sorry for them if the day comes that they see what they are supporting, I can’t imagine coming back from a realization like that.
