Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-TX) has suddenly resigned, effective at 5PM this afternoon.
Farenthold was not seeking re-election…presumably because he was caught paying out $84,000 to settle a sexual harassment suit with a former staff member. If you happen to be a taxpayer, you might be interested to know that the $84,000 came not from his bank account but from your pocket.
My parting comment to Farenthold? Good riddance – and please do let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
