Well, you can’t say she isn’t speaking from experience.
Here, from Ginger Adams Otis’s article in the New York Daily News, is Hillary Clinton’s take on the possibility that an independent counsel might be appointed to investigate the Uranium One scandal:
Appointing a special counsel to probe her Uranium One deal would be “such an abuse of power” by the Trump administration, Hillary Clinton said Wednesday.
The former Democratic presidential candidate said Trump risked dangerously politicizing the Justice Department, “like some authoritarian regime.”
Clinton made the remarks in an interview with Mother Jones about reports this week that Attorney General Jeff Sessions asked two top prosecutors to look into the sale of a uranium company to Russian interests during Clinton’s time as secretary of state.
Fascinating.
So an independent counsel (IC) investigation of the Uranium One deal – giving control of roughly like 20% of our uranium assets to a Russian controlled company while the people benefiting from this deal shtupped The Clinton Foundation with something like $145 million dollars – which, if Ms. Clinton did nothing wrong, would presumably exonerate her, is an abuse of power and a dangerous politicizing of the justice department…
…but an IC investigation of possible collusion between Donald Trump and Russia, based entirely on unethical, possibly illegal leaks and an unverified dossier compiled by a foreign national for the Clinton administration? No problem at all.
Got it, Hillary.
As noted at the beginning of this blog, you certainly know something about abuse of power and politicizing the justice department.
Well, at least it’s reassuring to see that losing the presidency has not affected the quality of your character.
