Maybe it was the fact that, uncharacteristically, there were as many Republicans on Morning Joe today as there were Democrats. But host Joe Scarborough had this to say about how coverage of the IRS scandal has, at least until now, been downplayed or buried altogether by mainstream media:
“CBS,ABC, NBC, the Washington Post, The New York Times, you can put themall out there. They\’re all complicit”
Scarborough went on to point out that yesterday\’s testimony – in which the supersedingly arrogant, smug, obnoxious IRS head john koskinen demonstrated to just about everyone but the most committed Obamaniac what a weaselly worm he is, was buried on page 19 of the New York Times (FYI – the Times did manage to find room on its front page for stories on a restaurant moving from one location to another, and a two day old soccer game).
I don\’t know if including NBC among the media venues he attacked will hurt Mr. Scarborough at MSNBC (personally I suspect the fact that there was a fair playing field with an equal number of Republicans and Democrats has just as much chance of doing so over there). But I hope not.
Every once in a while it is good to hear someone say it plain and true. Would that it happened more often.
