KEEP \’EM IGNORANT AND YOU OWN \’EM (CONT,)

On Friday, we found out that the former head of the IRS tax exempt division, lois “liar” lerner, who told us she did nothing wrong, was completely innocent – and then pled the 5th so as not to incriminate herself – has had a very unfortunate computer problem

It seems that two years of her emails, including a bunch that the house investigation would love to see, have magically gone bye-bye.

You can read all about it here.

So today – the first time the network morning shows could have reported this oderiferous development – they were all over it right?

Yeah, sure.  And Eric Cantor won his primary last week.

It turns out that CBS News reported this story.  Congratulations to CBS for behaving like journalists.

As for NBC and ABC? Nope and nope.  Not one word.  Two out of three networks buried this latest element of the IRS scandal – as they have buried so many other elements of it in the past.

But wait, you might say:  with everything going on in the world right now – the carnage in Iraq, the tidal wave of illegals flooding our borders, etc. – maybe there just wasn\’t enough time.

Well, according to Kyle Drennen at newsbusters.org, both of those networks did manage to fit in full features on Prince William and Princess Kate\’s son taking his first steps.  Anyone still want to tell me there wasn\’t enough time?

Look, I certainly acknowledge that William and Kate have a cute child, and I\’m always fascinated by the facial similarity between Prince William and New York Yankee first baseman Mark Teixeira.  But, to tell you the truth, somehow I don\’t see cuteness and a facial similarity as more important than this latest roadblock to getting information about the IRS\’s apparent suppression of free speech….or, more exactly, its apparent suppression of free speech for groups which oppose the policies of Barack Obama.

What we are smelling here is classic Accomplice Media crap.  And it stinks just as bad as what the IRS did, maybe even worse.

Keep \’em ignorant and you own \’em:  the motto of all too many of our mainstream media in the era of Obama.

It certainly didn\’t exist during the Bush presidency.  And don\’t count on it existing if a Republican should win in 2016.
