Here is the first part of a column by hard-left San Francisco Chronicle columnist Mark Morford:.
It was, as one Twitter pundit put it, a very good day for cancer.
It was a good day for death, a good day for shameless cruelty, for the worst tendencies of the human animal; it’s a good day to have that sickening, sour feeling in your stomach turn to abject disgust at your fellow man – Republicans very much in particular – as the Senate GOP, with coward John McCain’s help, shoved through a motion that will allow them to continue to destroy lives, take away the health care of millions and leave countless thousands to die
Hard to know where to start, but l think I’ll settle on that “continue to destroy lives, take away the health care of millions and leave countless thousands to die” line.
Uh, since ObamaCare, to this minute, remains 100% in place, how can Republicans “continue” to do those things? That’s just silly.
But even sillier is the premise itself. The vote was to open debate on ObamaCare. Not on any specific plan. So neither Mark Morford, nor I, nor you, nor anyone else knows what alternative will eventually be settled on.
And calling John McCain a coward for getting out of a hospital bed to vote for the debate? That is not just silly. That is hate-filled.
And when you are filled with hate, reality goes straight out the window, doesn’t it?
In his mini-biography it is noted that, in addition to writing a newspaper column, Morford is “also one of the Bay Area’s premier yoga instructors, leading classes, workshops and retreats in SF and around the world since 2001.”
Given the quality of commentary here, I suggest that we all might be better served if he concentrates more on that yoga thingie.

People that rely on votes by the citizens to keep their job want to kill off the people they need in order to be reelected???
What sense does that make???
