It is getting much too intense here today.
So let\’s take a quick break from politics (about 4 minutes\’ worth) and stroll back through the 1950\’s.
Our pal Toy Insurance Bob sent this video to me several days ago, and I was saving it for the right moment. Don\’t ask me why, but that moment is now.
If you are an old fart like me – or a little older, or a little younger – or….oh, what the hell, I don\’t care how old you are…..you will find that you can\’t help sitting back and enjoying it; maybe even shedding a tear or two for the personal associations it conjures up.
As Perry Como would have said, it\’s impossible.
Oh, one other thing. As you look at the people in this video – and there are a bunch of them – can you name the oldest person who is still alive? The answer will be at the bottom.
And are you wondering who the oldest surviving person in the video is, or did you get it?
The answer is that it is the actress who played Clark Kent\’s fellow reporter Lois Lane – the one who disdained Kent and had the hots for Superman, but couldn\’t figure out that they were one and the same person all those years – Noel Neill. Ms. Neill is 94 years old and, I suspect, would now even settle for Clark Kent. I wish her many more years of health and happiness.
