President Donald Trump’s trip to Europe was a victory for his nationalist advisers over their so-called globalist rivals as the two camps gird for more showdowns this summer.
In Warsaw, Trump delivered a starkly nationalist speech lauding the right-wing Polish government’s defense of “civilization” from foes like refugees and European Union bureaucrats. At the G-20 summit in Germany, Trump stuck to his dissent from a global climate change consensus, befriended Russian President Vladimir Putin and weighed potential new steel tariffs that a top European Union official angrily branded “protectionist.”
Translation: President Trump’s trip – in which he made a superb speech in Poland and stood firm on US values and US interests at the G20 summit – was “starkly nationalist” (Yep, no other countries operate in their self-interest, it’s just us), and angered a European Union official because we are protecting our steel industry instead of giving it away – the way Europe would like us to give away our coal industry in the so-called “climate accords”.
Then we have this hilarious “Steve Bannon and Steve Miller are back on the inside” routine. Who, other than Trump-hating media venues like politico.com, ever said they were out in the first place?
Isn’t Reince Priebus supposed to be out too? Hey, he’s still there also.
Oh, yeah, and how could President Trump “befriend” Vlaidimir Putin, when, for almost a year, all we’ve heard from these people is they were already thick as thieves in collusion with each other? How do those two square? Evidently, if you despise President Trump enough, logical sequence ceases to be important anymore.
Do these people even remember what professional journalism is?

So you can’t celebrate or defend Western civilization without being denounced by liberals as a white nationalist, a fascist, and so on.
