Today\’s quote – and it is a beauty – comes to us from pathetic serial liar susan rice.
Days ago she told us that bowe bergdahl “served his country with honor and distinction”. Needless to say, that imbecilic, fraudulent comment drew an enormous amount of both ridicule and outrage.
But would that stop susan rice? Would that stop the same person who went on five TV shows immediately after the Benghazi massacre to say it happened because of a nondescript privately-made video? Of course not.
Here is her “explanation” of the comment about bergdahl:
“Irealize there has been lots of discussion and controversy aroundthis. But what I was referring to was the factthat this was a young man who volunteered to serve his country inuniform at a time of war. That, in and of itself, is a very honorablething.”
Wow. That is not just your everyday run of the mill lie. That is a lie of jaw-dropping proportion.
First we have the fact that rice\’s initial lie specifically did not reference the fact that he volunteered to serve, it specifically referenced the quality of his service (“he served with honor and distinction”). That, by itself, would put her new lie in the running.
But this new statement, in which she tells us that there is honor and distinction in service, irrespective of how you serve? So even if bergdahl is a liar, a US hater and a deserter, the description still fits? That puts it in a league by itself.
Using rice\’s “logic”, Benedict Arnold served with honor and distinction too.
I award susan rice Quote Of The Day honors for demonstrating so clearly that there are people in this world for whom no lie is too big or too obvious. As long as people like her are around, we will never lose sight of that reality.
