ED SCHULTZ\’S LATEST LUNATIC RANT

Ed Schultz has become so unhinged that I wonder if he needs professional help.

Try, as best you can, to decipher this quote, from yesterday\’s “Ed Show” on (where else?) MSNBC:

“Ithink what the Republicans need to do is give us an update on therest of the detainees in Gitmo. Are they all nice guys? Uh, are theyready to be released? Are they the worst of the worst of the worst?You mean to tell me, we just happen to negotiate away the absoluteworst people on the face of the Earth and this is such a bad deal forAmerica? Waita minute. It doesn\’t matter who was in the swap. The fact is, anAmerican soldier is coming home, they\’re going to play it to the till(?) as something wrong with President Obama, it\’s his fault, highcrimes and misdemeanor (sic), should have gone to Congress, didn\’tfollow the legal pathway, time to get rid of him.”

Uh….ok, Ed.  We hear you.  Especially since you “say” it loud enough so that I don\’t know why they bother to turn on your microphone.

Now, let\’s think about what you said (which appears to be more than you did):

-There is no need for an update on the rest of the detainees in Gitmo.  They are not nice guys.  They are not ready to be released.  And, for your information (actual information being something you seem terribly uncomfortable with), every one of them is there at the pleasure of Barack Obama, not Republicans.  He has been the President for almost 5 1/2 years and, as commander in chief, could have ordered them released any time he cared to.  In fact he campaigned in 2008 on doing just that – getting them out of Gitmo.  Funny though:  nowhere in your lunatic-rant do I see any anger directed at him;

-Yes, they are the worst of the worst, and yes, if not the specific five worst people on Earth they are right at the bottom of that food chain.  Did you bother to read their backgrounds?  Did you read what positions they held and what they did?  Since neither you nor your staff seem capable of ascertaining this information, let me help you.  Click here to find out – and before you dismiss the information because its source is Fox News, be advised it is at countless other web sites as well.  I guess you just missed them all.

-It does matter who they are.  They are demonstrated mass murderers, who have been given a hero\’s welcome in Qatar and are a near-certain bet to go right back to their killing.  And that doesn\’t matter to you?  Do you consider yourself a humanitarian, Ed?  Is a lying deserter worth more to you than the innocent people these subhuman scumbags killed in the past and will be able to kill again in the future?  Evidently the answer is yes, the lying deserter is worth more.

-And you\’re whining that Republicans will blame President Obama for this? Who the hell do you think should be blamed?  The last time I checked, President Obama is the Commander in Chief and, as such, is the one and only person who could have agreed to this “deal”.  Since you think it is some kind of an outrage to blame him for it, who do you have in mind instead?  Maybe you can accost George Bush, who has been out of the White House for over 5 years, and accuse him of giving the order.

Look, it\’s your life, Ed. You are perfectly free to pretend you are a hard-leftist – even though you started out as a political conservative until that didn\’t work out on talk radio, and even though you are fabulously wealthy ($10-15 million is the going estimate).  And being both rich and hard-left certainly will not make you an outcast at MSNBC, you\’ll be just one of the crowd.

And you are perfectly free to try and fool the hard-leftists who love MSNBC\’s political indoctrination like Nathan\’s loves hot dogs, by ranting out this kind of lunacy.  Heck, your bosses will thank you for it.

But be assured there are plenty of people who see right through you. Because you are as transparent as spring water.
