It doesn\’t happen often, but this time it is – at least to some extent.
The dishonesty of Barack Obama and his administration regarding the horrific condition of VA hospitals and VA (Veterans Affairs) in general – including an astonishingly fraudulent effort to blame it on President Bush almost 5 1/2 years after he was replaced by Mr. Obama – has been so great that even some of the usually leftward venues can\’t take it anymore.
One such example is Aaron Glantz\’s article at dailybeast.com: an article that was published OVER A YEAR AGO on March 11, 2013.

The Department of Veterans Affairs\’ ability to quickly provide service-related benefits has virtually collapsed under President Barack Obama, according to internal VA documents obtained by the Center for Investigative Reporting and authenticated by the agency.
The ranks of veterans waiting more than a year for their benefits grew from 11,000 in 2009, the first year of Obama’s presidency, to 245,000 in December-an increase of more than 2,000 percent.
As a candidate, Obama had promised to revamp a “broken VA bureaucracy,” but the documents reveal that many of the administration\’s attempts-including efforts to boost staffing and computerize claims processing-have fallen apart in the implementation. Calls to the White House press office were not returned.
In Washington, U.S. Rep. Jeff Miller (R-FL), chairman of the House Committee on Veterans\’ Affairs, said he was not surprised that the VA\’s internal documents painted a much gloomier picture than the agency’s public pronouncements.
“One of the biggest oversight challenges we\’ve encountered is just getting the VA to engage in an honest conversation,” Miller said.
The agency\’s biggest problem, he said, is a “culture of complacency.”

If so, you know for a fact, as I do, that when Barack Obama tells you he is just now finding out about the conditions at VA hospitals, he is absolutely, unequivocally lying to our faces.

How many times must this man and the people around him lie – blatantly, overtly lie – before some people acknowledge what is in front of their faces?
I count the seconds until this woefully inept, incompetent, dishonest person is out of office. And I mourn the fact that, for countless veterans who bravely served this country, it will be too late…as it already has been for so many.
