Today’s quote comes to us from Tom Perez, who Chairs the Democratic National Committee.
This, so help me, is his quote, stated during his appearance, along with former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele, at the Aspen Institute’s Bipartisanship and Governance event:
“…what we have to do as a Democratic Party is not simply say what we’re against and what Donald Trump is doing wrong. I totally agree that we have to articulate what we are for and what we will do and what we are doing.”
Help me out here. Is this the same Tom Perez who just last month, told us in a public forum so everyone could hear, that “They (Republicans) call is a skinny budget, I call it a shitty budget”.
And isn’t this the same Tom Perez who also said that “Republicans don’t give a shit about people”?
Yep, that sure is articulating what Democrats are for and what they will do and what they are doing, all right.
Tom Perez wins Quote Of The Day “honors” for providing dialogue so stunningly hypocritical that even hardline Democrats must be shaking their heads in amazem.. uh, well, maybe that’s a bit of a stretch. Never mind.
