THE FASCIST THUG -SUPPORTING POLICE OF BERKELEY, CA

This exchange is real.  It took place between Shane Bauer of Mother Jones Magazine (not what you’d call a Trump supporting venue) and a Berkeley police officer, as street violence was taking place – almost exclusively consisting of Trump haters, in black, with hoods and masks, assaulting Trump supporters.

Bauer: “Hey, how come you guys are hanging back?” 

Police Officer:  “That would be a good question for the chief of police” 

Bauer:  I mean I haven’t seen the cops around and (they’re) beating the shit out of each other”

Police Officer:  “You want a public statement, right?” 

Bauer:  No, I’m asking you guys, you’re here.

Police Officer:  “I would refer you to our public information officer.”  

Bauer:  “So they told you to hang back?” 

Police Officer:  “As I said, I refer you to our public information officer.  What’s your next question?” 

Bauer:  “I mean I’m just wondering why, I’ve been watching all day people get beat up pretty bad and I haven’t seen you guys around much” 

Police Officer:  “Okay, and?” 

Anyone seriously believe that if the situation were reversed, and it were Trump supporters beating up anti-Trump people, the Berkeley police would be sitting back as spectators?

If this were Venezuela, and the police were instructed to do nothing as people protesting nicolas maduro were being beaten by pro-maduro thugs, the exact same dialogue could have taken place.

Berkeley is a joke.  It is pathetic.  It is where the “Free Speech” movement was born… and where it now has died.

And our wonderful, “neutral” mainstream media, which barely covered the assaults on Trump supporters, thus keeping most of the public in the dark about the fascist thugs left free to commit them?  They’re no better.
