There is a story in today’s New York Post about Anthony Weiner having prematurely left the rehabilitation facility for sex addition he had entered, because he did not have the money to complete his treatment.
I did not provide a link to this story. It will be easy for anyone to find it, but I won’t help them.
My reason is very basic. It is clear to me that Mr. Weiner is a sick man.
Some people smirk and sneer at the idea of sex addiction. They think it isn’t real, it is a joke of some kind.
But this man has lost his career and his marriage to it. That is very real and it is not a joke at all.
Simply stated, a sickness is something decent people should be compassionate about. Anthony Weiner has a sickness. Therefore, he should be viewed with compassion, not derision.
I wish Anthony Weiner a quick and full recovery.
