Today’s quote comes to us from Ms. Theresa McDonnell (SP?), an office coordinator from Ohio, who claims to be leaning toward Hillary Clinton, and asked Ms. Clinton this question during last night’s “Town Hall”:
“I voted for Obama, but then my health insurance skyrocketed from $490 a month to $1,081 a month for a family of four. I know Obama told us that we’d be paying a little more. But doubling – over doubling – my health insurance cost has not been a little more. It has been difficult to come up with that kind of payment every month. I would like to vote Democratic, but it’s costing me a lot of money. And I’m just wondering if Democrats really realize how difficult it’s been on working class Americans to finance ObamaCare?”
That is a perfectly fair, perfectly reasonable question which deeply concerns a voter’s family and their health insurance.
And it stopped Ms. Clinton in her tracks.
All she could do was babble out a few questions back to Ms. McDonnell, in the hope that one of her answers would provide a way out – which didn’t happen – and then toss her a bucketful of cliches and platitudes which did not explain why Ms. McDonnell and her family were in their predicament and did offer a thing that ObamaCare could do about it (but got applause at the end from the Democrat-rich audience anyway. They’ll buy pretty much anything Clinton or Sanders is selling).
Here, watch/listen for yourself:
I award Theresa McDonnell Quote Of The Day honors for asking a simple, basic question which a) clearly described one of the major deficiencies of ObamaCare, and b) deserved a real answer, not the cliches and platitudes that Hillary Clinton dished out to her instead.
