Last week, media were full of news about a gay-bashing incident, in which Jordan Brown, a gay pastor in Austin, Texas ordered a cake from Whole Foods with the iconic gay inscription “Love Wins”….but claimed that the store added an offensive word to it.
Here is the “unopened” box he produced for media:

That’s pretty damning, isn’t it?
Brown sued Walmart. And the suit was not unreasonable at all….if it really happened.
Except it didn’t.
It turned out that Whole Foods surveillance cameras showed that when Pastor Brown bought the cake, the label was on top of the box, not on the side – which made it pretty clear that the cake was tampered with after purchase.
Whole Foods counter-sued…
…and Pastor Brown has now admitted that he added the word “fag” to the cake.
“I apologize to the LGBT community for diverting attention from real issues” he said.
Brown also apologized to Whole Foods and to the store’s baker.
That’s real big of him, since, in the absence of this revealing surveillance footage, the store would almost certainly have been sued for a ton of money. And the baker would not only have been fired, but would spend the rest of his life unfairly tagged as a bigot – and might well not have been able to get another baking job.
Brown is damn lucky that Whole Foods decided not to move forward with its counter-suit, which it surely would have won. Given the damage his suit would have caused, the store had every right to do so.
Add this to the large, and growing, list of racial and homophobic hoaxes that have been perpetrated on the public – often with an eye to a huge money windfall at the end of the rainbow.
Isn’t there enough real racism and homophobia in the world without frauds like this pastor inventing more of it?

I read that the Whole Foods baker IS a member of the LGBTT community.
The ends justify the means.
Isn’t there enough real racism and homophobia in the world without frauds like this pastor inventing more of it?
I don’t know anymore if there is that much racism or homophobia. I can tell you in the 70s and early 80’s I can remember hearing racial and homophobic slurs. But I haven’t heard anyone in my life make any in at least 30 years. I’m not saying there isn’t any, but I question if it really is very much.
So, it makes me wonder are things as bad as the left and msm make it seem???
