How many times has Hillary Clinton looked us in the eye and lied to our faces?
I’ve lost count.
So it was at least somewhat edifying to watch CNN’s Jake Tapper take apart Ms. Clinton’s absurd claim that the use of her personal server for State Department business was “absolutely permitted” — and point out that she had no right to withhold those emails (which she did for almost 2 years) or delete any of them (she claims to have deleted some 30,000 of them, because they were “private” – you have to take her word for it).

And, let’s remember, Jake Tapper’s takedown only covers the fact that she used the private server per se.
It does not address the far more disturbing, damaging fact that four years of classified materials were run through that server, thus available to any country with even modest intelligence capabilties. (The claim that this doesn’t count because documents weren’t marked “classified” at the time – as if the Secretary of State didn’t know she gets classified information all the time, before the guys with the stamps see them – may be her biggest lie of all).
Hillary Clinton is a liar. She continuously lies to our faces. And, more often than not, media allow her to get away with those lies.
It’s nice to see that, at least in this one instance, she is being held to account.
