IN CASE YOU WONDER WHY THE “ANTI-ESTABLISHMENT” CANDIDATES ARE DOING SO WELL…

Why is Donald Trump – a political nothing with a penchant for antagonizing people and an ego that could stand as its own universe – in the process of running away with the Republican nomination?

Why is Bernie Sanders – a virtually unknown political nonentity/career politician from a tiny state who wasn’t even a registered Democrat until last year – giving the universally known and media-adored Hillary Clinton such a run for her money?

Here’s a possible answer for you, from Terrence Jeffrey’s article at cnsnews.com:

In the six months that have passed since then-retiring House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell cut a budget deal with President Barack Obama that suspended the legal limit on the federal debt until March 15, 2017, the federal debt has increased by more than $1 trillion.

The Senate passed “The Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015” with a vote held in the early morning hours of Friday, Oct. 30. Obama signed it on Monday, Nov. 2.

At the close business on Oct. 30, 2015, the total federal debt was $18,152,981,685,747.52. By the close of business on April 28, 2016—the latest date for which the Treasury has published the number–the total federal debt was $19,186,207,744,589.55.

That is an increase of $1,033,226,058,842.03.

Republicans – who, with majorities in both houses, were supposed to put an end to this, and Democrats – who have a President bragging about how he has reduced the deficit, conspire to create a budget with a deficit that, even with record-breaking tax revenues, has grown by over a trillion dollars in the past half year.

Are you still wondering why the two anti-establishment candidates are doing so well?

I hope not.

  • Anyone remember how Bush was lambasted when he had a budget deficit of 400 Billion? The hypocrisy of the left [that includes MSM] is sickening beyond compare.
