ABOUT THAT PETITION AGAINST TRUMP’S “COMPLETELY ILLEGAL” EXECUTIVE ORDER

My wife, who is inundated with several Democrat emails a day (that is not an exaggeration), just got this one:

Hi Arleen, it’s Chuck Schumer. I urgently need you to sign my petition to protect voting rights.

Donald Trump signed an executive order to undermine free and fair elections — and it is completely illegal. We’re suing Trump, and I need your help to prove Democrats are against this unconstitutional power grab.

Please, Arleen, will you sign my petition to defend our sacred voting rights? Here’s a custom link for you to sign on immediately: www.dscc.org/VotingRightsPetition

Notice anything missing?  Like, for example, what the executive order referenced by Chuck Schumer actually says?  What makes it “completely illegal“?  Me neither.

But, to be fair, maybe this information is provided when you click on the link.  So I did.  And this is what I saw:

Voting Rights Petition
Thank you for joining Democrats everywhere who are fighting back. While we process your signature, please answer a few follow-up questions about what’s at stake. Your input will help us develop even stronger tactics to take back the Senate and defeat Trump’s allies.

Let me ask again:  do you see the executive order itself, or any indication of what is illegal about it?  The answer again is no.

So what is the Democrat hope here?

It is that you are a SIP.  you are either Stupid enough, and/or Ignorant enough, and/or Partisan enough, to sign a petition indicating your opposition to a presidential executive order which you have not been shown.  All you know about it is what Chuck Schumer tells you, but won’t show you so you can see for yourself.

Would you sign that petition?

If so, please signify by saying “Yes, I am a SIP.  I am a Democrat robot who will sign a petition on something I don’t know a thing about because Chuck Schumer told me to.  I am willing to be an uninformed ignoramus for my party.”

Have  nice day.
