…you get comments like this (far, far from the only similarly ignorant comment this congressperson has made):

When we have this discussion about going back or reopening, I think a lot people should just say ‘no,’ we’re not going back to that. We’re not going back to working 70 hour weeks just so that we can put food on the table and not even feel any sort of semblance of security in our lives.”
That comment is ignorant on so many levels my fingers would hurt to type them all out.
Does this ignoramus not understand what the meaning of that tweet was – that several governors (all Democrat, like the congressperson in question) have created particularly onerous restrictions on their citizens’ freedoms – far more so than other states (including the one this congressperson comes from)?
Does this ignoramus want to keep the entire country closed indefinitely, regardless of whether the COVID-19 flattens/lowers?
Does this ignoramus think the only people affected by the shut-down of our economy are people who work 70 hours a week to put food on the table? Did she ever hear about businesses Business owners and their employees who work normal hours?
Does this ignoramus think that people willing to work many hours to keep their family together will be happy to just sit on their butts and get handouts from the government – something they could have been doing instead of working long hours? Does this idiot think responsibility and self worth do not exist? That they have no meaning?
Who could be ignorant enough to put out a comment like that?
