WHAT WAS THE POINT OF BANNING TRANSGENDER PEOPLE FROM THE ARMED FORCES?

The title of this blog could well serve as the blog itself.

Does anyone doubt for a second that some number of transgender people are already in the military?

Does anyone doubt that if a transgender volunteer were to serve inappropriately in the military he/she would be dealt with accordingly?

So what is the difference whether there are or are not some number of transgender people in the military?

And what in the world would have prompted President Trump to make an issue of transgender, out of nowhere?  Does he have a shortage of controversy?

I will never understand this man.

  • Ken you may have missed the report last week, the military was going to have to perform gender reassignment surgery on trans-soldiers.
Not only is it taxpayers that fund the military but we don’t have enough doctors and funding to treat wounded soldiers and now they are going to start doing sexual reassignment.
Not to mention all the other treatments necessary for that.
I think this has just gone too far.

    • Then the answer is a ban on gender reassignment. If someone wants to have the procedure done outside the military and then sign up, fine. If President Trump had agreed to that, there would have been a minimum of controversy…and a stronger argument in favor of his decision.

  • Do we need a stronger argument than the military leaders don’t want it and say it harms unit cohesion?
