I just read a fascinating article by Jacqueline Thomsen, writing for thehill.com, which details two Democrat “victories” over Donald Trump.
So what are these “victories? I’ll let Ms. Thomsen tell you, by posting the first few paragraphs:
President Trump took a beating in federal court last week, losing a pair of lawsuits aimed at hindering House Democrats’ investigations into him and his administration.
The decisions indicated that Trump will ultimately lose the fights: Both judges in the subpoena cases issued their rulings swiftly and decisively, underscoring the weakness of Trump’s legal arguments.
The lawsuits were likely intended as Trump’s attempt to delay Congress from being able to obtain the documents, taking advantage of the slow pace of the court system while keeping an eye on getting the cases up to the Supreme Court.
But the court victories are providing Democrats with momentum as they accelerate their Trump investigations — and providing fodder for party leaders to argue impeachment proceedings aren’t necessary as they make legal headways.
A reminder: the mueller report, put together by james comey pal robert mueller and an all-Democrat/no-Republican staff, cleared President Trump of collusion and stated there was insufficient evidence to charge him with any obstruction of justice.
So the two “victories” – both of which, it should be noted, came in the form of decisions by Obama-appointed judges – consist of Democrats being able to continue investigating Mr. Trump…
…which begs the question of what they would be investigating him for, since there are no formal charges of any kind pending against Mr. Trump regarding collusion, obstruction of justice, tax evasion, financial improprieties or anything else.
In other words, the Democrat “victory” consists of Obama-appointed judges allowing Trump-hating Democrats to run more investigations of absolutely nothing.
Yes, this will be a delight to Trump haters everywhere.
But for the rest of us – most of whom, I would think, want the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives to work on benefiting/improving our lives rather than running another wild goose chase? I doubt many of us are delighted at all.
Should we be?

This goes to show they work only to win the next election [or the last one], that is what they truly care about.
