As long as I’m reconsidering Tim Kaine, let me reconsider my initial belief that he was a “moderate” – one that was largely based on mainstream material I have read over recent times (when do I ever learn?)
From Paul Mirengoff’s article at powerlineblog.com:
The mainstream media likes to portray Kaine as a “centrist” and a “bridge builder.” The reality is quite different.
In the Senate, Kaine almost always votes the liberal line. The American Conservative Union consistently gives him a zero rating. Same with the Eagle Forum. With Americans for Prosperity and Heritage Action, he’s in single digits.
Kaine is a practicing Catholic, but a reliable pro-abortion vote. He gets a zero from the Family Research Council and 100 percent from NARAL and Planned Parenthood.
Though at times he talked a good game on the problems with the Iran nuclear deal, in the end he voted for it, to no one’s surprise.
Interestingly, based on quotes I have seen from several Sanders suppoters, Kaine still is not leftward enough to satisfy them. But, for the rest of us – the ones who are within three or four standard deviations from the center – he’s in Sanders’ ballpark.
Thank you, Paul Mirengoff, for the heads-up about Tim Kaine. Shame on you, mainstream media, for your misleading portrayal of Mr. Kaine.
There’s an old saying: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” With that in mind, and knowing what I know about mainstream media, shame on me too.

No shame. It is the perfect example though of why a lot of people either don’t know about or have a mistaken belief in what is going on in our country and the world at large. We should be able to trust the msm to give us the truth. Sadly we can longer trust them, they are completely compromised. If it weren’t for the internet we wouldn’t know what is real, we would only know what the msm want us to know, whether it was true or not.
