I knew we’d find out. I knew someone would eventually explain why omar manteen killed 50 people and injured at least 50 others.
It is because the FBI was investigating Rep. Corrine Brown (D-FL).
Who could possibly say such a thing? Why Ms. Brown of course. Here are her exact words:
“These are the same agents that was not able to do a thorough investigation of the agent (manteen), and we ended up with 50 people dead,”
Corrine Brown is charged with 24 counts related to using a charitable organization (One Door For Education: The Amy Anderson Scholarship Fund) as, in reality, a personal piggy bank for her and her chief of staff.
If Ms. Brown is found guilty of all charges, she faces 357 years in jail and a fine of $5,000,000. So I suppose it is not surprising that she would look for someone to blame her problems on.
But telling us that the very same agents investigating her would have been the ones to crack the omar manteen case (FYI – this is an entirely different division of the FBI) is, shall we say, a bit far fetched.
How far? Try the dark side of Uranus. (feel free to use whatever double entendre you can find there).
Can Corrine Brown possibly be this ridiculous? Can the voters of her district possibly have elected her to congress? Twelve times?
Evidently, the answer is yes, and yes.
And if Ms. Brown continues to run for a 13th term, I would bet money she will win again.
