As Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney continues to lead his country toward economic oblivion, I thought you might be interested in seeing this chart…and then thinking about what it would mean if the USA was the real part of it rather than the hypotetical:
Fascinating.
Also fascinating: at the same time that jobs are dying in the country, Canada is welcoming in a flood of new immigrants; almost 400,000 (1% of the entire population) just in the last year.
And all this in the face of self-imposed major financial difficulties ahead, since Prime Minister Carney rejected a revised, but still quite favorable, trade deal offered by United States, instead demanding that we keep the ridiculously one-sided arrangement currently in place…which he knew full well President Trump would not agree to.
So instead of enjoying favored status, Canada will suffer the effects of tariffs that will almost certainly result in Canadian manufacturing resources heading south to the USA.
And what is Carney going to do about it? Withhold potash?
Canada’s descent continues….
