THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from Reince Priebus, who chairs the Republican National Committee.

This is what Mr. Priebus said, via press release, after President Obama delivered his typically self-congratulatory, typically BS-loaded address to the Democrat Convention:

“President Obama was elected to the White House with voters demanding change. And fittingly, that is how he will leave. After coming into office promising to transcend politics, tonight he spent more time in his final major address attacking Republicans, than discussing key issues.”

I award Reince Priebus Quote Of The Day honors for a really clever put-down of (the eminently put-downable) Obama presidency, which Republicans can use as the start of a series of ads detailing what went wrong and how Hillary Clinton will give us four more years of the same.

I don’t know how good an RNC chair Mr. Priebus is.  Many of his fellow Republicans are clearly unhappy with him.  But when his RNC gig ends, he may have a future in advertising.

  • A headline at Drudge says Obama referred to himself 119 times in his speech. Does this man have serious mental problems?
