Today’s quote comes to us from House Minority Leader, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). It concerns his reaction to the just-uncovered email contact in 2019, between jeffrey epstein and Democrat Delegate Stacey Plaskett of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
While being interviewed on CNN, Rep. Jeffries was asked whether the email contact between them, even if not illegal, was inappropriate. His answer:
“Well, Stacey Plaskett is not accused of violating any House rule, any law, any statute. And she’s clearly and unequivocally denounced jeffrey epstein.”
Funny thing, Rep. Jeffries. Those exact same words could be used to describe Donald Trump.
With all the hoopla, all the press coverage of Trump’s one-time relationship with jeffrey epstein – which he broke off for good years before epstein was accused/convicted of any crimes – not one Democrat, you included, has actually accused him of violating any specific law or statute.
Democrats have provided us with unending examples of innuendo and “I find it very suspicious” commentary, but not one specific accusation that would have to be backed up with any facts.
And I’ve lost count of the number of times Donald Trump has clearly and unequivocally denounced epstein.
Uh…..isn’t that exactly how you are describing epstein and Stacey Plaskett?
I award Rep. Hakeem Jeffries Quote Of The Day honors for, however unintentionally, providing a spirited, compelling defense of Donald Trump.
Somehow, I doubt he’ll be quick to take credit for it, though.
