Todays’ quote comes to us from the Manhattan Institute’s Will Sussman.
It originally referenced the horrific shooting/killing of Yaron Lischinsky and Janet Milgrim at Washington D.C.’s Jewish Museum. But it is every bit as applicable to yesterday’s insane firebombing of 8 elderly people in Boulder, Colorado who were peacefully marching to demand that hamas release the remaining hostages.
The attacker, an Egyptian national who is here illegally (expired visa), paralleled the “rational” of Mr. Lischinsky and Ms. Milgrim’s murderer, by screaming “free Palestine” (what does that even mean????).
Here is what Mr. Sussman wrote on May 21, the night of the murders:
“This didn’t happen in a vacuum. It’s the inevitable result of more than a year of anti-Israel and antisemitic hatred that has been tolerated and even encouraged in our institutions. From college campuses to the halls of Congress, this hatred has been allowed to fester unchecked.
“Tonight’s tragedy will be a wake-up call for many. But for those of us who have been watching closely, the alarm bells have been ringing since October 7. This is what it means to “globalize the intifada.”
After hamas invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, massacred over 1,200 people and took over 250 hostages, one of its “leaders” went on Lebanon TV and joyously assured us that hamas would do it “again and again”.
I award Will Sussman Quote Of The Day honors for recognizing that these two hate-filled, anti-Semitic subhumans (and the ones who are sure to follow in their footsteps) are “globalizing the intifada” by doing exactly what hamas would like them to.
