Whatever we think of either side in Charlottesville….
….who started the violence and who reacted to it?
That’s a little something I have yet to see/hear media address (maybe I just missed it, but I don’t think so).
Wouldn’t that be an important part of assigning blame for much of what happened?
And another question, while we’re at it: did the Mayor of Charlottesville have his police stand down, thus allowing the violence to start?
I’d love answers to those questions. Wouldn’t you?
=====================================
IMMEDIATE UPDATE:
I think we have the answer to the second of these questions.
From Sheryl Gay Stolberg’s article in the (avidly Trump-hating) New York Times:
“You can’t stop some crazy guy who came here from Ohio and used his car as a weapon,” Governor McAuliffe said. “He is a terrorist.”
But others, including Mr. Kessler and Ms. Caine-Conley, openly wondered if the violence could have been prevented.
“There was no police presence,” Ms. Caine-Conley said. “We were watching people punch each other; people were bleeding all the while police were inside of barricades at the park, watching. It was essentially just brawling on the street and community members trying to protect each other.”
If what you just read is true, it leads to two more questions: if the Mayor of Charlottesville intentionally allowed the violence to start and proliferate, WHY did he do so? And how much responsibility does HE have for what happened next?
Those are questions that every citizen should damn well be asking, and every citizen of Charlottesville should damn well be demanding.

A question I am asking, Didn’t the police protect BLM terrorists marches???
Even though the BLM want dead cops and actually accomplished it in Dallas while the police were protecting them.
