Here, from last night’s edition of CBS Evening News, was what reporter Maurice DuBois said about the July 4th attack on ICE agents in Alvarado, Texas:
“Ten people are charged with attempted murder after allegedly staging an ambush at an immigration detention center in Alvarado, Texas. Investigators say some of the suspects lured officers outside by shooting fireworks at the building and painting graffiti. An officer was shot and is out of the hospital. Authorities are investigating whether the July 4th attack is linked to a shooting yesterday at a Border Patrol facility in McAllen, TX”.
Actually, there was much more to this incident, but that is a decent, if abbreviated, summary…
…and the ONLY reporting of it by the three major networks.
That’s right. Neither ABC World News Tonight nor NBC Nightly News reported it. This is not to say they reported it too briefly. This is to say they did not report it at all. Not one word.
Therefore, if you rely on either of these alleged news shows for what’s happening out there, you have no idea that there wa an overt attack on ICE agents by what amounts to a domestic terrorist group.

I’ll end with a quick question for you: if this were an identical kind of attack – same tactics, same number of attackers – by a far right group on, say, a civil rights organization, do you think the three networks combined would give it the same treatment – one bare-bones summary and two non-reports?
I’ll give you time to think about the answer. I’m guessing it should take about one half a nanosecond to do so.
