THE MANCHESTER TERROR ATTACK

Now there is no doubt.  It was a suicide bomber, and ISIS is proudly taking credit for it, promising “this is only the beginning”.

So far the count is 22 dead, 59 injured – some grimly – and many people missing.  It would be no surprise if the casualty totals rise.

One commentator said – I can’t vouch for his accuracy – that the British government has identified 14,000 – that’s no typo, it’s 14,000 – potential terrorists in the UK.  So why would anyone not expect attacks like these to continue?

I’ll just bet they’re thrilled to death over the vetting procedures that resulted in this clear and imminent everyday threat to public safety, not to mention the British way of life.

So, by all means, let’s be sure and do as they did.  Why employ more stringent vetting procedures for countries with the most terrorist activity anyway?  What good would that do?

The UK – and the USA – and western civilization – are at a crossroads.  We better be damn smart about which direction we head.

  • In the early 1800’s if we had fought the Barbary pirates like this we would not be a country today.
