The title of this blog is also its message.
It is a day since news broke that james comey – Former FBI Director and Trump hater – put up on Instagram what he claims was a configuration of shells he randomly came upon while walking on the beach. The shells formed “8647” – as in “86” (kill) 47 (47th president Donald Trump).
When there was immediate backlash from people who read comey’s Instagram messages, he removed the post and claimed he didn’t realize people would take it that way.
I very rarely curse on this blog. But a former FBI Director ‘s claim that he didn’t know what “86” means, or what combining it with “47” – Trump being the 47th President – would communicate? I called him a fucking liar. I am doing the same today.
And now, a day later, I have looked for any indication that Democrats are outraged by what people are – with damn good reason – taking as a suggestion that the President be assassinated. And I can’t find even one Democrat doing so.
As for our wonderful “neutral” media? CBS put up an article that soft-pedaled comey’s post, NBC was only marginally better, and ABC didn’t even report that it happened.
I gues when you have these three in your pocket you don’t have to worry about inciting violence against a Republican President.
If any of this changes today or tomorrow I’ll let you know. I’m not counting on it.
