This incredibly insensitive quote comes to us from Brian Williams – former anchor of NBC news who is now reduced to a little bit of this and a little bit of that on MSNBC – while transitioning coverage of the Nice truck massacre to Chris Matthews’ “Hardball” show:
“We have just plowed over the normal hour airtime of Chris Matthews tonight because of this confluence of breaking news…”
“Just plowed over…”?
Oh, for God sake, Brian.
I realize that you’re now on MSNBC, so not that many people heard it. But you heard yourself, didn’t you?
Maybe even MSNBC is too much for Brian these days. I suggest a podcast from the front door at 30 Rock, interviewing people on their way to Radio City…assuming he won’t screw that up too.
