This is huge.
From Jeff Pegues’s article at CBS News – and how it must kill CBS to publish it:
CBS News has learned that a manhunt is underway for a traitor inside the Central Intelligence Agency.
The CIA and FBI are conducting a joint investigation into one of the worst security breaches in CIA history, which exposed thousands of top-secret documents that described CIA tools used to penetrate smartphones, smart televisions and computer systems.
Sources familiar with the investigation say it is looking for an insider — either a CIA employee or contractor — who had physical access to the material. The agency has not said publicly when the material was taken or how it was stolen.
Much of the material was classified and stored in a highly secure section of the intelligence agency, but sources say hundreds of people would have had access to the material. Investigators are going through those names.
The trove was by the anti-secrecy organization WikiLeaks
Uh….wasn’t that trove of leaks supposed to have been supplied by the Russians?
Funny thing, though: the CBS report does not make any mention of the fact that this blows apart mainstream media’s claim – reported almost daily for more than half a year, without any hard evidence whatsoever – that Russia was behind the leaking of confidential information.
Does it prove Russia did not do so? No.
But does it make the scenario that – as Wikileaks has said all along – the source was not Russia a far greater likelihood? Obviously it does.
And does it make media look ridiculous for not pursuing this likelihood, instgead of forgoing it in favor of the still-evidenceless alleged ties between Donald Trump and Russia? You bet it does.
Will these same media be apologizing for resting their loaf on the Trump-Russia connection now? Will the Democrat Party be admitting their endless whining attacks based on that claim were, in all likelihood, a hot steamy load of bullcrap?
Don’t count on it. These folks are not from the apologizers or admitters…
…which is why fewer and fewer people trust them anymore.
Why should they?
