THE EMAIL SCANDAL: MAYBE MEDIA HAVE BLOWN IT OFF, BUT…..

Mainstream media, which never gave Hillary Clinton’s email scandal the attention it merited, have been happy to blow off it off for once and for all, based on FBI Director James Comey’s recommendation not to pursue charges (more on Comey, and his history of giving Clintons a free pass, in the next blog).

But the public has not.  On this issue voters will not be led around by the nose, as so many “journalists” prefer.

Excerpted from

Hillary Clinton’s lead over Donald Trump narrowed to 3 points this week after several days of controversy following FBI Director James Comey’s recommendation that no criminal charges be brought against the former secretary of state over her use of a private email server.

While the developments are certainly good news for the Clinton campaign, Comey’s critical statement on Clinton’s handling of the matter was not positive. Clinton’s lead over Trump has deteriorated in the past couple weeks since her lead peaked two weeks ago.

A strong majority of voters (82 percent) agreed that it was inappropriate for Clinton to use a personal email server during her tenure as secretary of state. A smaller majority — 56 percent — also said they disagreed with Comey’s recommendation that Clinton not be prosecuted for use of the server.

Gasp.  What’s this?  The public isn’t buying the premise that if there is no prosecution, Hillary Clinton has been “exonerated” and is “not guilty” (both terms having been used by her supporters immediately after the Comey hearing).

Nice attempt at downplaying how many people feel that Ms. Clinton should be prosecuted, though.  (Note to NBC:  56% believing the presumptive Democrat nominee should be indicted is extremely high – scarily high for Clinton supporters…like you.  The astonishingly high 82% who call her actions “inappropriate” doesn’t change that, even if the writing of this article tries to diminish it.)

Look, these are poll numbers.  They may or may not be accurate.  And even if they are accurate, polling is subject to changing, often very quickly.

But what is significant here is that, even with media spinning what essentially is their “see, she didn’t do anything prosecutable, get over it” coverage, a majority of the public is not buying.

That Hillary Clinton, with universal name recognition and decades of media adoration is in a serious fight with Donald Trump, the world’s richest barroom loudmouth, tells you something about Hillary Clinton – something her supporters don’t want you to know.

And it could get worse for her.  A lot worse.

Stay tuned.
