THE CLOSING STRATEGIES: A COMPARISON

Very interesting difference in the two candidates’ closing strategies.

-Donald Trump has put out a two-minute video talking about what has gone wrong in the USA and what he intends to do about it. You might or might not believe he can accomplish what he says, but that’s his message.

-Hillary Clinton, by contrast, has high-profile celebrities entertaining crowds for her, including Jennifer Lopez, Bon Jovi, Ne-Yo, Stevie Wonder…

…and jay-z, who performed in front of a Clinton rally in Cleveland last night, by “singing” rap music overloaded with profanity, which called Black people niggas and pimps, and women hoes and bitches whose only apparent value is pleasuring men — after which Ms. Clinton stood on stage and embraced him as if he had spent his time speaking about how Black people and women should be respected.

Can the Clinton campaign possibly think this is going to generate votes for her? I wonder how many of the people at that rally left right after the “music” and before her speech. I wonder how many of them cared only about copping a free jay-z concert and couldn’t have cared less about Hillary Clinton.

I wonder how many people who – at least until this – believed that she was serious about championing Blacks and women, will be appalled by this.

If I were on the Trump campaign, I think I would have prayed the Clinton campaign would do exactly what it is doing.
