Apropos nothing political…
For my money, the best pizza you can get in Monmouth County, New Jersey is at Luigi’s on Route 520 in Lincroft.
It’s not easy to get there if you’re traveling East, because if you don’t want to make an illegal left, you have to go past the place, into the shopping center which comes afterwards, then reverse field. But it is well worth the effort.
Not only is Luigi’s pizza is really excellent (not that the other food isn’t, but we’re just talking pizza here), the service is friendly and capable, the prices are moderate..and it’s a BYOB, which saves you plenty more.
We prefer their large thin-crust rectangular pizza which gives you, I think, 16 slices, can feed four without breaking a sweat, and costs all of about $15. But no matter which one you settle on, you can’t go wrong.
OK, back to politics, where there always seems to be too much crust and the service almost never fails to stink.
In the area where I live I think San Biagio’s in Upland California is the best. And the same with the other food they serve, but this is just about the pizza as Ken wrote.
