I’ve just read maybe a half-dozen articles telling me that the reason the market went up is not because President Trump and President Xi Jinping of China are negotiating, but because Trump caved on tariffs.
Reality: this is a NEGOTIATION. It ALWAYS has been a negotiation. Trump staked out a point from which there was no doubt he would depart downward, giving Xi an opportunity to do so…with the eventual result the two countries agreeing on a far better deal for the USA on China imports, and a way for China to save face.
But to our media – most of it, anyway – if they can figure out a way to present this as a negative for Trump that is exactly what they will do.
Like the blog title says: TDS-based media bias in full bloom.
Pathetic doesn’t even begin to describe this.
