As I assume you know, Donald Trump used the word “schlong” when speaking of Hillary Clinton. Specifically, he said that she was “schlonged ” by Barack Obama in the 2008 Democrat campaign.
The uproar has been huge.
Trump has been accused of using a vulgarity and – this is a requisite for attacking Hillary Clinton – being offensive to women in general.
Donald Trump\’s “schlong” (I\’m referring to his usage of the word, of course) has turned into both a means of attacking him, and a diversion to draw attention away from Hillary Clinton\’s overt lie that ISIS had created videos with Trump, which were being used as a recruiting tool. (In reality, no such videos exist, but there is one which features, among others, Hillary Clinton\’s husband, Bill).
So what is this word “schlong”?
Well, if you grew up in Queens like Donald Trump did (me too, after moving from Brooklyn at a young age), and either were Jewish (like me) or hung around with at least some Jewish kids (like me) you would probably have used that term a lot.
In street language, “schlong” has two very different meanings.
-As a noun, “schlong” is a yiddish colloquialism for penis. The context of this usage is almost always vulgar, as in “I just was in the locker with Dave. Man does he have a big schlong”, or “If you don\’t shut up I\’ll cut your schlong off and feed it to the dog”. It does not have the dirty-gravitas of, say, “cock” or “dick”, but it is certainly is a word you would avoid using in front of mom or dad.-As a verb, “schlong” means to beat the stuffing out of; to rout, as in “Our team schlonged those guys, 14-3” or “Did you see the fight last night? The champ really schlonged him”. In this usage there is nothing dirty at all, other than, generically, that “schlong” is a vulgar term.
What Donald Trump said, while speaking of Hillary Clinton\’s unsuccessful run against Barack Obama in 2008, was:
“…she was favored to win and she got schlonged, she lost, I mean she lost.”
Obviously, Trump used the second, verb form. It had absolutely nothing to do with male genitalia, and only meant that Hillary Clinton got her clock cleaned by Barack Obama.
This, of course, did not stop the Clinton camp from going full-bore and lying about what Trump meant – as it lies about virtually everything else. One of Clinton\’s paid liars, communications directer Jennifer Palmieri, said this:
“We are notresponding to Trump but everyone who understands the humiliation this degradinglanguage inflicts on all women should.”
In other words, Clinton & Co. are contorting a street term, communicating that someone was beaten badly – which is how Trump, correctly, claims to have used it – into a humiliating, degrading insult…not to Hillary Clinton alone, but to all womanhood.
Boo hoo hoo. Poor Hillary. Poor, frail Hillary. Someone used the verb form of “schlong”. I hope she didn\’t sit in a corner and cry too long.
What would President Hillary Clinton do if Putin or khameini insulted her? Send Jennifer Palmieri out to say it\’s not nice while she bawled uncontrollably? Could this be more absurd?
What we have here is another example of the cynicism and dishonesty embodied by Hillary Clinton. That is why she got schlonged in 2008, and may cause her, if she is the Democrats\’ nominee, to get schlonged again in 2016.
