I\’ll make this short and to the point.
Today, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear cases from Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin and Indiana, all seeking to maintain their bans on same-sex marriages.
Good.
It is none of the states\’ business whether a man or woman wants a marital commitment to another person of the same sex.
If people who are against same sex marriage believe it is wrong, or disgusting, or sinful, blasphemous, against God\’s will, etc. etc. etc. this is the USA and they are free to feel exactly that way. I wish every one of them happiness in whatever relationships they consider acceptable.
But they have no right to restrict other people to those beliefs.
This is a very simple issue of freedom and the pursuit of happiness. Live your life as you see fit and leave others to do the same.
