On April 7, as our military action in Iran intensified, oil soared to about $113 a barrel.
By July 6, as it looked like things were coming to an end, oil had dropped to about $68 a barrel.
On August 5, as the action continued well after we were led to believe it would end, oil had risen back to about $75 a barrel.
And now, as we attack Iran, even though more and more oil is being shipped through the Strait Of Hormuz the price has jumped back to almost $103 a barrel.
If Trump announces we have taken care of business and ends the current series of attacks – assuming oil continues to flow through the Strait of Hormuz – oil should quickly drop back a great deal.
Republicans better hope that’s what Trump does, that Strait of Hormuz oil continues to flow, and that this happens well before election day. Or there is an excellent chance they will be blown out of the water.
We’ll see……
