Yesterday morning, while speaking pandering to a Black crowd in Harlem, New York, Hillary Clinton had an uncontrollable coughing fit and lost her voice.
This is not the first we have seen this in public. Ms. Clinton had a two-minute fit and lost her voice during last October\’s testimony on Benghazi. And it happened less than a month ago in Iowa.
If media were treating Hillary Clinton neutrally, this would be cause for alarm. Major alarm. Her husband told us that she fell, suffered a concussion, and it took something like a half year for her to fully recover. Now we see a pattern of coughing fits like this.
Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times should raise red flags. Large ones.
So how did Brianna Keilar of CNN characterize it?
This was a very supportive crowd, right, that she was beforeat this black cultural center in Harlem. In fact, actually at one point shechoked up so badly that she struggled to speak for a few minutes and theyactually cheered to fill the time because it got a little awkward.
To be choked up is to be overcome with emotion. It is not – repeat, not – when someone has an uncontrollable coughing fit. It Brianna Keilar is not stupid. She knows this as well as you and I do. Therefore, it is hard not to conclude that Ms. Keilar lied to cover up for Hillary Clinton, in the hope that she could turn a negative (What\’s wrong with Hillary? Is she OK?) into a positive (Look at that sincerity. She really felt it.)
In short, it was propaganda posing as neutral journalism.
But let\’s be fair. It could be that Ms. Keilar has this right and I am the one misrepresenting things. So, to clear this possibility up, here is the video. You decide.
I rest my case.
And Ms. Keilar was not the only one. On The Today Show this morning, what you just saw was referred to as “a nagging cough”. A nagging cough is an annoying cough which occurs over a period of time. It is not a short period of intense coughing that that takes out your voice.
(This is just a small part of the dishonest reporting on Hillary\’s behalf during the Today Show: I probably will blog about it later on, when video becomes available on the show\’s web site).
Was “journalism” always this overtly dishonest? More and more I am coming to the conclusion that it always was, and the difference now is that we have dramatically more access to what really happened.
If so, hallelujah.
