“Luigi The Musical”? Could that be about luigi mangione, the guy who is on video gunning down Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare – and husband and father?
Yes. It could and it is.
Here is the headline and first three paragraphs of Alex Baker’s article for KRON4 – San Francisco:
‘LUIGI THE MUSICAL,’ ABOUT ACCUSED UNITEDHEALTHCARE CEO KILLER, TO DEBUT IN SF
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — From the killer barber of “Sweeny Todd,” to Stephen Sondheim’s “Assassins,” musicals have long dealt with morbid subject matter. Now a musical based on Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old man accused of gunning down the CEO of a healthcare company in cold blood, is on its way to San Francisco.
“Luigi the Musical,” billed as “A story of love, murder and hash browns,” is due to open in June at the Taylor Street Theatre, formerly the Exit Theatre.
The show is described as a “wildly irreverent, razor-sharp comedy that imagines the true story of Luigi Mangione, the alleged corporate assassin turned accidental folk hero.” The film features other famous characters, including convicted crypto-fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried, and former rap mogul, turned accused sex trafficker Sean “Diddy” Combs.
All that’s missing is a song or two congratulating kilmar abrego garcia on the good works he performs as a member of ms-13. Actually, for all I know, that’s in this “musical” too.
For anyone following the the hard left, this insanity, though it might be shocking, will not be surprising. It is who and what they are.
And, sadly, if the political parties act the way we have become used to in recent years, it will be fully condemned by the Republican Party, but ignored or rationalized by most Democrats.
I hope for Democrats’ sake that they finally break out and condemn this kind of left wing sickness as decisively as most Republicans will.
We need two strong, viable political parties in this country. But until more moderate Democrats regain control, we have just one.
