Remember when President Obama ordered a half year of bombing Libya to get rid of moammar qaddafi – even though the constitution requires congressional approval for him doing so (which, for the record, George Bush sought and received before invading Iraq and Afghanistan)? Remember how removing qaddafi was going to make Libya a better place – without an apparent thought in the world about what he would be replaced with?

Libya has lurched ever closer to fragmentation and civil war this weekendafter Islamist-led militias seized the airport in the capital,Tripoli, proclaimed their own government, and presented the worldwith yet another crisis.
OperationDawn, a coalition of Islamist and Misrata forces, captured theairport on Saturday in fierce fighting against pro-governmentmilitias after a five-week siege that battered parts of the capital.
Televisionimages from the scene showed jubilant, bearded, militias dancing onwrecked airliners, firing machine guns in the air and chanting “AllahO Akbar” (“God is great”).
OnSunday, they set airport buildings ablaze, apparently intending todestroy rather than hold the site.
Thevictory, which secures Islamist control over Tripoli, was aculmination of weeks of fighting triggered by elections in July, lostby Islamist parties.
Am I happy that the murderous lunatic qaddafi is gone? Yes, of course.
Am I appalled that Barack Obama did not know then (and clearly has still not learned) that, in this part of the world, no matter how bad things are they can get worse, so you don\’t take out a bad guy and just assume this does anything beneficial? Yes, of course.
Do I think Barack Obama is an abysmally incompetent President with an ego as big as the sky? Yes, of course.
Or, as David Limbaugh puts it in his latest column:
Buteven Obama\’s stalwart supporters in the liberal media now understandthat this man doesn\’t have a clue about how to deal with threats tothe United States. He is highly proficient at campaigning, communityorganizing, partisan agitating and ordering underlings to carry outhis agenda, but he is psychologically incapable of attending to thedetails himself and appears to have no interest in actual governancebeyond setting his statist goals and issuing his implementationorders.
Obamaeither can\’t focus on high-level problems he didn\’t anticipate inconnection with his various utopian schemes or is so narcissisticthat he rides around blindly in his golf cart like Mr. Magoo, whollyunaware of the damage he\’s done to his own reputation as a serious,engaged and thoughtful person.
How I wish this were incorrect.
