Now the judge – juarn merchan is his name – who is presiding over the so-called “Stormy Daniels” case – a case so weak that federal authorities which would not have had any problem going after Donald Trump decided was ridiculous – has extended a gag order against him to include merchan’s daughter. Now Trump can’t say a thing about her, even though she has no restraints on attacking him.
What does his daughter, loren merchan, have to do with the case? She is a hard-left activist, who has devoted much of her time in recent years frontally attacking…yep, you guessed it: Donald Trump. One example is a twitter post, including a picture of Trump behind jail bars:
A judge whose daughter goes public with her hatred of the guy he is holding court over? If this isn’t a reason – an imperative – for immediate recusal, what would be?
But this is New York City. And, like arthur engoron, the other hard-left, legal-realities-be-damned judge presiding over the equally insane real estate fraud case (the one with no complainants, and every witness testifying that Trump didn’t do anything out of the ordinary for New York real estate), and letitia james, the New York State Attorney General who ran on a promise to “get” Trump, it doesn’t matter a bit.
If you’re out to get Trump you’re out to get Trump. End of story. End of legal constraints. In essence, merchan, engoron and james are a vigilante mob wearing robes instead of ten gallon hats.
This is not the United States of America I know…or maybe knew is more accurate.
I would say it couldn’t get more disgraceful. But, then again, there’s fani willis in Georgia…
