JOE BIDEN’S STATEMENT ABOUT RAMADAN

Here, in its entirety, is President Joe Biden’s (more exactly, his puppeteers’) statement recognizing the advent of Ramadan…in rust, with my comments in blue:

Tonight—as the new crescent moon marks the beginning of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan—Jill and I extend our best wishes and prayers to Muslims across our country and around the world. So far so good.  Too bad it doesn’t stay that way.

The sacred month is a time for reflection and renewal. This year, it comes at a moment of immense pain. The war in Gaza has inflicted terrible suffering on the Palestinian people. More than 30,000 Palestinians have been killed, most of them civilians, including thousands of children. Some are family members of American Muslims, who are deeply grieving their lost loved ones today. Where does that 30,000 number come from?  hamas?  The terrorist group that told us Israel bombed a hospital and killed 500 people…after which we found out that the “bomb” was hamas’ own rocket, misfired from next to the hospital grounds (i.e. hamas used the hospital as a shield) that hit its parking lot – leaving the hospital itself virtually intact).  What possible reason do you have to believe these liars?  Nearly two million Palestinians have been displaced by the war; many are in urgent need of food, water, medicine, and shelter. Whose fault is that?  hamas attacked Israel and Israel retaliated.  Where is your blame, Joe?  As Muslims gather around the world over the coming days and weeks to break their fast, the suffering of the Palestinian people will be front of mind for many. It is front of mind for me.  How about the 1,200 – 1,400 Israeli dead?  The REAL ones, not some invention by a terrorist group?  How about the 250 hostages, half of whom are still held by hamas, with an unknown number dead already?  What part of your mind is that roosting at?

The United States will continue to lead international efforts to get more humanitarian assistance into Gaza by land, air, and sea. Earlier this week, I directed our military to lead an emergency mission to establish a temporary pier on the coast of Gaza that can receive large shipments of aid. We are carrying out airdrops of aid, in coordination with our international partners, including Jordan. And we’ll continue to work with Israel to expand deliveries by land, insisting that it facilitate more routes and open more crossings to get more aid to more people. Congratulations.  You finally insisted that one of the two parties involved in this war do something to end it.  But not hamas – which started it and could effect a cease-fire right now by releasing the hostages.. and end the war by surrendering.  Nope, the one and only party expected to do a thing is Israel.

While we get more life-saving aid to Gaza, the United States will continue working non-stop to establish an immediate and sustained ceasefire for at least six weeks as part of a deal that releases hostages. Wonderful:  a six week deal, after which they still hold hostages…in return for Israel releasing convicted terrorists.  Yep, that’s a “solution” all right.  And we will continue building toward a long-term future of stability, security, and peace. That includes a two-state solution to ensure Palestinians and Israelis share equal measures of freedom, dignity, security, and prosperity. That is the only path toward an enduring peace.  Have you told hamas to remove the part of their covenant – both the original 1988 one and the politically-sanitized 2017 one – that specifically, unequivocally rejects a two-state solution under any circumstances?  Saying you are working toward something that the people you’re sucking up to tell you they will never, ever agree to makes you look like a ridiculous fool.  But, sadly, you seem to be comfortable with that status these days.

Here at home, we have seen an appalling resurgence of hate and violence toward Muslim Americans. Islamophobia has absolutely no place in the United States, a country founded on freedom of worship and built on the contributions of immigrants, including Muslim immigrants. My Administration is developing the first-ever National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia and Related Forms of Bias and Discrimination, to take on hate against Muslim, Sikh, South Asian, and Arab American communities, wherever it occurs. No one should ever fear being targeted at school, at work, on the street, or in their community because of their background or beliefs.  Islamaphobia?  ISLAMAPHOBIA?????  Are those MUSLIMS walking in fear through college campuses?  Are those intrusive, disruptive and sometimes violent, flag-waving crowds around the country demanding the end of ARAB countries or Israel?  What are you even talking about?

To Muslims across our country, please know that you are deeply valued members of our American family. To those who are grieving during this time of war, I hear you, I see you, and I pray you find solace in your faith, family, and community. And to all who are marking the beginning of Ramadan tonight, I wish you a safe, healthy, and blessed month. Ramadan kareem.  Nice of you to not say the same about Jews, Joe.

Why would Biden do this?  Why would he suck up to Muslims this way?

The calculus is simple.

With the exception of Florida, which – mostly due to shifts in Latino voting – is more and more a lost cause for Democrats, Jews don’t count for much electorally.  They are mostly in already-deep blue states, such as New York, California, Illinois and Massachusetts, so – other than for donations – who cares about them?

Might as well suck up to Muslims – especially because if enough of them say no to Biden, Michigan could be lost.  Plus, it would reinforce the Democrat hold on all those supposedy “educated” college students who seem to think Palestine was a country that Israel took over….

Politics uber alles.
