Damn those Israelis!
How dare they go into Lebanon and take out hezbollah’s major weapons storage area! How can Iran (who supplies and funds hezbollah) kill Israelis if they do things like that?
From Yomna Ehab’s article for The Independent, via msn.com:
The Israeli military destroyed an underground Hezbollah base at southern Lebanon’s Ali al-Taher ridge, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz said on Thursday.
The two officials confirmed that the mission completed the establishment of a security zone in the area.
In a joint statement, they said that troops will stay in the area to stop the Iran-aligned Hezbollah militant organisation from restoring its capabilities or re-establishing its presence.
The Ali al-Taher ridge, about 15 km (10 miles) from the Israeli border, has become one of the most contested areas of the war between Israel and Hezbollah.
Lebanon’s state news agency NNA said the Israeli military carried out a powerful blast at the ridge, with tremors and the sound of the explosion felt across Nabatieh and surrounding areas.
The military said a central command complex belonging to Hezbollah’s Badr unit was located within the underground infrastructure.
The complex contained command centres, weapons storage rooms and living quarters that allowed fighters to remain underground for extended periods, it said.
Oh, dear. All that time, money and effort creating a major base of operations and weapons source gone. Do you realize how much harder it will be to kill Israelis now?
And it’s not just the Iranians who will be upset about this. DSA Democrats and their sympathizers all over the United States are going to be outraged. After all, destroying assets like this means it is that much easier for Israel to survive. Oh, the horror of it all. my sympathies to zohran mamdani, and abdulrahman el-sayed, and ilhan omar, and rashida tlaib, and…..etc. etc. etc.
Even worse, this seems to have been done with the blessing of the Lebanese government!!!! Don’t they realize what a terrible thing it would be if there were peace between the two countries?
I mean, look at how badly that has worked out for Egypt (at peace with Israel since 1979) and Jordan (at peace with Israel since 1994). Look at how badly those two countries have made out since then.
Ok. Enough sarcasm. Have I made my point?
I would hope so.
Just one more thing, though. To the geniuses running around with “palestinian” flags, screaming “Free Palestine!”: you might want to consider the fact – and it is a fact – that the only place in the land area of Palestine where Arab Muslims have any serious degree of freedom is Israel.
End of blog.
